‘It’s Where the Music Is’: Clark County’s open mic nights bring performers and listeners together

Serious music fans will pay a premium for concert tickets, drive for hours and brave surging crowds to catch the merest glimpse of their favorite rock stars. A couple of weeks later, those same fans might be at an open mic night, cheering like crazy for someone they’ve never heard of singing slightly off-key with a battered acoustic guitar.
