Colton Warren singled home Jared Gottsch with the go-ahead run in the top of the ninth inning as the Ridgefield baseball team beat Mark Morris 7-6 to move into first place in the 2A Greater St. Helens League on Friday.
Gottsch led off the ninth with a walk and was bunted to second by Wyatt Bartroff. After Parker Daniels’ single put runners on first and third, Warren singled to right to put the Spudders ahead.
Dillon Kirksey allowed just one run over 4.2 innings to seal the win. Kirksey also walked twice, scored twice and drove in a run.
