Special election ballot accuracy test planned

Clark County Elections officials will perform a hand count of approximately 600 randomly selected ballots beginning at 9 a.m., April 26.

Totals from the hand count will be compared against the machine count totals from the April 25 special election.

For this comparison, results for the Washougal School District proposed levy will be counted by hand to check the accuracy of the ballot tabulation equipment. The selected ballots will still be counted as part of the total returns from Election Day.

Any voter who did not receive their ballot should contact Clark County Elections at 564-397-2345 or email elections@clark.wa.gov.

Voters can download a replacement ballot at votewa.gov by clicking on Online Ballot.

The voter must print the declaration sheet and ballot and return it by following the instructions listed.
