RIDGEFIELD — This year, at the 2023 State of the City address, the Ridgefield Lions Club was one of two winners awarded the city’s inaugural Make a Difference Award.
The Make a Difference Award highlights an individual and an organization that deserve recognition for their contributions and commitment to helping others in need, improving the city’s neighborhoods, creating community, and making Ridgefield a better place to live. They are the unsung heroes whose volunteer efforts and giving spirit don’t usually get recognition or awards, officials said.
