The Skyview baseball team raced out to a 4-0 lead after three innings and the Storm went on to beat Prairie 6-2 in a non-league game Wednesday.
It was Skyview’s second home game this spring on its own field as field conditions the past several years made it nearly impossible to play games on campus.
Skyview (4-4) scored three runs in the second inning and one in the third for the early lead.
Emmett Stein and Caden Spanier drove in runs in the second inning and Micah Robison drove in the run in the third.
Prairie got on the scoreboard in the fourth on Brady Trombello’s single.
Skyview kept the Falcons (5-5) out of reach with a two-run fourth inning highlighted by Gavin Poffenroth’s one-out RBI double.
Nate Merritt had Prairie’s other RBI with a hit in the fifth.
