Levi Giles caught two touchdown passes and returned a punt for another touchdowns as La Center opened Trico League play with a 46-0 rout of King’s Way Christian.
King’s Way (2-2), playing its first league game since 2019, was left shorthanded by injuries. Starting quarterback Brayden Schiefer remained sidelined after being injured late in the loss to Meridian two weeks ago.
The Knights managed just three first downs and had 22 net yards of offense on the night.
Giles picked up his first touchdown on a 13-yard pass from Tru Feldman in the second quarter, putting La Center up 13-0.
His 8-yard touchdown catch from Feldman in the third quarter gave the Wildcats (4-1, 1-0 Trico) a 32-0 lead. Giles then returned a punt 55 yards for a score to make it 39-0 later in third. The senior also intercepted a pass.
Davari Grauer added two touchdowns receptions, Feldman passed 227 yards and four scores and Jalen Ward rushed for 119 yards.
