Prairie volleyball player Ella Conklin is the The Columbian 2022-23 Week 3 high school athlete of the week.
Conklin received 260 votes to outdistance Mountain View swimmer Madison Wick for the honor.
Conklin had 16 kills, six blocks, six digs and two aces in a win over Union, then added 15 kills, seven blocks, four digs and an ace in a win over Battle Ground.
Winners of the athlete-of-the-week may not be nominated again during the regular season, and no athlete may be nominated in consecutive weeks.
Nominees are posted and voting begins usually by 9 a.m. each Tuesday and runs through Thursday.

SHAELA BRADLEY, LA CENTER GIRLS SOCCER: Bradley had seven goals and six assists in three wins for the Wildcats, including a 3-2 win over Bush of Seattle.
ALEXIS LEONE, SETON CATHOLIC GIRLS CROSS COUNTRY: Leone placed fourth (18:04) in the Danner Championship race at the Nike Portland XC meet at Blue Lake Park.
TANNER MOODY, HERITAGE BOYS GOLF: Moody shot a 1-over par 38 at Tri-Mountain in match with Skyview, and a 2-over 38 at Heron Lakes in a match with Battle Ground and Prairie.
MADISON WICK, MOUNTAIN VIEW GIRLS SWIMMING: Wick won the 100 butterfly (1:07.11) and 500 freestyle (5:57.52) and helped the Thunder relays to a pair of wins in a meet with Prairie and Battle Ground.
