Battle Ground routs Heritage 71-0

Battle Ground High School is celebrating its 100th year of varsity football, and the Tigers have had few games like the one they had Friday at McKenzie Stadium.

Angel Lopez scored three touchdowns and Kameron Spencer threw three touchdown passes as the Tigers rolled to a 71-0 rout of Heritage in a non-league game.

The Tigers (2-2) outgained the Timberwolves (0-4) 541-28 and held Heritage to three first downs.

Lopez rushed for 68 yards and two touchdowns and caught three passes for 63 yards and a score. Artem Bahnyuk had a 73-yard touchdown reception and a 54-yard touchdown run as the Tigers led 56-0 by halftime.
