Ryan Charlton scored two touchdowns, but King’s Way Christian was unable stop a powerful Meridian team, as the Trojans from Bellingham rolled to a 50-13 non-league on Friday.

Knights quarterback Brayden Schiefer had a 37-yard run to set up Charlton’s second touchdown that got the Knights within 22-13 in the second quarter.

But the Trojans would pull away from there, taking a 29-13 lead into halftime, and shutting out the Knights in the second half.

Schiefer was under constant pressure from the Meridian defense and left the game in the fourth quarter with an injury after receiving a late hit.

King’s Way Christian (2-1) will have bye week next week before opening Trico League play at home against La Center on Sept. 30.
