“It’s amazing to see how this team has bonded and how far we’ve come together,” Gesser said. “Our offense is amazing, and our defense is really picking up too.”
The Cougars’ defense held the Eagles to negative yardage in the first quarter while getting four turnovers via interceptions, fumble recoveries and blocked punts.
“This team has been through the ringer.” Seton head coach Dennis Herling said. “Going through those tough seasons where we had freshman playing up to varsity is really starting to show as they get older. We have so much skill and now experience, so having those tough seasons has really built these guys up to make a shot at getting that league title this year.”
