LaDaimien McCord retuned an interception for a touchdown and caught a touchdown as Evergreen’s defense shined in a 27-13 win over Eisenhower of Yakima.
McCord’s 17-yard interception return for a touchdown got Evergreen on the board first in the first quarter.
After Eisenhower tied the game, the Plainsmen were able to take 21-7 lead into halftime on touchdown passes from Jayden Crace to McCord and Khalil Osborn to Arthur Ban.
Evergreen alternated quarterbacks between Crace and McCord. The Plainsmen were missing four starters, but they got many players involved in the attack.
