Two men were injured early Friday afternoon in a single-vehicle crash on a freeway ramp in east Vancouver, according to the Washington State Patrol.
The crash occurred at 1:42 p.m. on the ramp connecting westbound state Highway 500 to southbound Interstate 205 when a 19-year-old Beaverton man lost control of 2007 GMC Savana van, which swerved onto the left shoulder and rolled multiple times before coming to rest in a grassy median, a State Patrol bulletin said.
Neither the driver, whose name was withheld pending notification of next of kin, nor his passenger, Angel G. Acevedoaparicio, 22, no hometown listed, was wearing a seat belt, according to the bulletin. It said both men were transported to PeaceHealth Southwest Medical Center.
Drugs or alcohol did not play a role in the crash, according to the State Patrol, but speed did.
