Men’s Soccer

THE WEEK THAT WAS

The Penguins (6-10, 6-9) concluded the regular season with a 2-4 loss to Highline on Saturday. Clark finished third in the NWAC West Region.

THE WEEK TO COME

The Penguins travel to North No. 2 seed Whatcom for a first-round playoff match on Wednesday.

Women’s Soccer

THE WEEK THAT WAS

The Penguins (12-3-1, 12-3-1) finished the regular season with a 4-0 win over Highline. Kelli Huskic scored twice to finish with 17 goals, third in the NWAC

THE WEEK TO COME

Clark, the No. 2 seed in the West Region, hosts North No. 3 seed Shoreline in a first-round playoff match Wednesday.

Volleyball

THE WEEK THAT WAS

The Penguins (12-13, 6-8) lost to Chemeketa 3-1 (25-21, 25-27, 25-21, 25-20) in their home finale on Friday. Katie Fraley had 11 kills and Janna Glenzel had 18 digs.

THE WEEK TO COME

The Penguins conclude the regular season with road matches against Linn-Benton on Wednesday and Mt. Hood on Friday.

Cross Country

THE WEEK THAT WAS

The Penguin men and women both placed second at the NWAC Southern Region Championship on Saturday in Clackamas, Ore. Gary Sherman led the men with a sixth-place finish, covering 8,000 meters in 28 minutes, 05.1 seconds. Jane Kuebrich led the women with a seventh-place finish, covering 5,000 meters in 21:30.3

THE WEEK TO COME

Clark concludes its season at the NWAC Championships Nov. 12 at Chambers Bay golf course near Tacoma.
