Ridgefield beats Woodland to claim No. 3 seed to playoffs

Woodland takes the No. 4 seed when Hudson's Bay loses

Logan DeBeaumont threw three touchdown passes and Cly Stephens rushed for two scores as Ridgefield clinched the No. 3 seed from the 2A Greater St. Helens League with a 31-14 win at Woodland.

DeBeaumont threw touchdown passes to Ben Concannon and Isaiah Cowley as the Spudders took a 12-0 lead after one quarter.

Stephens’ two touchdowns runs help Ridgefield stretch its lead to 25-7 in the third quarter.

Ridgefield (5-4) will travel to play Tumwater, the Evergreen Conference No. 2 team, in the 2A district playoffs next Friday.

With Columbia River’s win over Hudson’s Bay, Woodland secures the No. 4 berth and will travel to play W.F. West next week.
