Seton Catholic beat rival King’s Way Christian in a shootout 55-34 on Friday to earn the Trico League’s No. 3 seed to the postseason.
Joe Callerame and Jacob Williams led a strong rushing attack for the Cougars. Callerame rushed for 160 yards and two touchdowns He also caught a 54-yard touchdown from Kolton Gesser and recovered a fumble for a touchdown.
Williams ended with 182 rushing yards and four rushing touchdowns.
“Joe and I have been playing together for years, since we were kids,” Williams said of Callerame. “We know how to work together to slowly pick apart defenses.”
Both of Callerame’s rushing touchdowns came in the first quarter as Seton Catholic built an early 20-0 lead.
