Beloved singer Paul Anka brings his “Greatest Hits His Way” show to ilani’s Cowlitz Ballroom at 7 p.m. Feb. 26. Tickets for the show are $39 and $59 and go on sale at 10 a.m. Friday on ilaniresort.com and Ticketmaster.com.
One of the most successful singer-songwriters in music, with more than 500 songs to his credit and 100 million albums sold, Anka, 80, has the distinction of being the only artist in history to have a song on Billboard’s charts during seven consecutive decades.
Anka’s instantly recognizable hits include “Put Your Head on My Shoulder,” “Diana,” “My Way” and “The Tonight Show with Johnny Carson” theme. The successful singer’s long career started in 1957, when his song “Diana” sold 20 million records, followed by numerous other hits, including “Puppy Love,” “Lonely Boy” and “My Hometown,” among many others.
