Prep highlights: Dombrow lifts Hockinson soccer to 4-2 win over Woodland

Abby Dombrow scored a hat trick as Hockinson girls soccer beat Woodland 4-2 on Tuesday in both teams’ final regular-season match.

Dombrow scored on a first-half penalty kick, then headed in a free kick by Audrey Davis to give the Hawks a 2-1 first-half lead.

Dombrow scored Hockinson’s third goal before Allie Seekins concluded the scoring.

Hockinson (8-6-0-0, 24 points) finished fourth in the Class 2A Greater St. Helens League and will take on Evergreen Conference champion Tumwater in the first round of the district tournament on Saturday.

Stars of the day

  • Shaela Bradley, La Center girls soccer, scored three goals and had an assist in the Wildcats’ 5-0 Trico League win at Castle Rock.
  • Ella Conklin, Prairie volleyball, had nine kills, six blocks, six aces and 11 digs in a 3-0 win over Battle Ground.
  • Anna Mooney, Seton Catholic girls soccer, scored two goals in a 4-1 win over Columbia-White Salmon.
  • Lizzy Andrew, Ridgefield volleyball, led the Spudders with 16 kills to go with five blocks and two aces in the 3-0 win over Woodland.
  • Ella Schoene, La Center volleyball, had 16 kills, 12 digs, 21 service points with five aces as the Wildcats beat Seton Catholic in three sets.
  • Lauren Dreves, Columbia River volleyball, had 14 kills and 10 digs in a 3-0 win over R.A. Long.
  • Kendall Mairs, Camas volleyball, had 10 kills and eight digs in a 3-0 win over Heritage.
