The city of Vancouver added a third information session for community members to provide feedback on its third Safe Stay Community for people experiencing unsheltered homelessness.

The city has proposed a location for the Safe Stay at 415 W. 11th St., a site that was previously the location of New Heights Church and is now a vacant lot occupying a city block northwest of the intersection of West Evergreen Boulevard and Daniels Street.

The meeting will take place virtually on Zoom from 7 to 8:30 p.m. on Oct. 25. People who want to attend can register online.

In addition to this newly added session, two information sessions have already been scheduled by the city. The first took place at City Hall on Saturday morning. The second will take place virtually on Zoom from 7 to 8:30 p.m. Wednesday.

Those who want to attend Wednesday’s meeting can join by phone, computer or smart device.

Participants do not need to pre-register for Wednesday’s meeting.

Further information and registration for the Oct. 25 session is available at https://www.beheardvancouver.org/safe-stay-meeting.

For those who cannot attend the meetings, community members can submit feedback regarding the third Safe Stay’s proposed location through the city’s website at https://www.beheardvancouver.org/ssc3.
