2A GSHL football: Ridgefield 35, Columbia River 22

The Spudders snapped a two-game losing streak with a 35-22 2A Greater St. Helens League win over Columbia River that buoys their postseason hopes.

Rocco Wright rushed for four touchdowns, including three in the first half, to give Ridgefield a 20-6 lead at halftime. Isaiah Cowley forced and recovered a fumble against the Rapids to set up the Spudders’ third touchdown drive.

River’s Chris Parkin hauled in touchdown catches of 31 and 6 yards from quarterback Adam Watts.

At 3-2 in league play, Ridgefield is tied with Woodland for third in the chase for four playoff berths.

Columbia River fell to 2-3, tied for fifth place.
