Downtown Vancouver board seeks members

Those who have real estate, construction or economic development experience are invited to apply for a position on the city of Vancouver’s board overseeing its downtown growth.

There are three available seats on the Vancouver’s City Center Redevelopment Authority, a group that advises the mayor and city council on how to proceed with public and private partnerships, as well business component of redevelopment projects and agreements.

Two of the open seats are held by people who may reapply, who would be required to be interviewed along other qualified applicants. The third seat is for a mid-term appointment that expires in 2023.

Applicants are not required to live within Vancouver city limits but must be able to attend meetings on the third Thursday of each month, as well as special meetings.

Applications must be submitted by 5 p.m. Nov. 10. Completed forms can be submitted online at www.cityofvancouver.us/boards. Contact the boards and commissions coordinator for a printed application or further information at bc_coordinator@cityofvancouver.us or by calling 360-487-8600.
