Gov. Jay Inslee recently appointed two Clark County residents to state boards and commissions. Sara Logston of Vancouver was appointed to the Rehabilitation Council for the Blind, and Edward Nicholson of Vancouver was appointed to the Washington State Rehabilitation Council.
Lifeline Connections, a comprehensive community behavioral health agency with offices in Clark, Skagit, and Whatcom counties, announced Andrea Brooks has been selected as the next president and CEO. Brooks will guide the organization in its mission to provide confidential and compassionate care to individuals who experience a substance use and/or mental health condition.
Brooks has more than 12 years of behavioral health experience and has spent the last nine years in Philadelphia, where she served most recently as chief program officer and behavioral health director for the city’s Department of Behavioral Health and Intellectual Disability Services.
The Clark County Council this week appointed Ken Lader as the county engineer. Lader had been serving as interim county engineer for the last couple of months. His appointment takes effect immediately.
