“That’s just a blown coverage, guys trying to do too much,” Ridgefield coach Scott Rice said. “Good call by Mark Morris at that point, but we’ve just to put ourselves in a position of, you know we preach, ‘Do your job,’ you know sometimes when we try to do too much, that’s the result of it.”
The result of this game is that Mark Morris takes control of second place in the 2A GSHL and keeps heat on first-place Washougal.
Ridgefield drops to 2-2 in league, battling for a playoff spot.
“It’s going to be tough.” Rice said. “We’re sitting at 2-2 now. We’re sitting in a tough spot of now. We’re in the middle of the pack to get into playoff contention. To be in a chance to go make some plays in the 10th and 11th week, we’ve got to be better. We just have to execute.”
