A woman who was killed in a two-vehicle crash Oct. 15 on state Highway 14 in Skamania County was identified Tuesday as Sharon Kuneki of White Swan.

The crash was reported shortly after 4 p.m. A tractor-trailer was traveling east, and a 2012 Ford Escape was traveling west on the highway near Milepost 54. The SUV swerved to avoid a passing vehicle and drove in front of the tractor-trailer, according to a Washington State Patrol crash memo.

Kuneki, 54, was pronounced dead at the scene, troopers said.

The driver of the tractor-trailer, identified as Mario Sanchez, 49, of Yakima, was injured and taken to Skyline Health in White Salmon, the memo states.
