The eighth annual Korey’s Joy Drive, asking for donations of warm clothing and toys for Vancouver residents in need, begins Wednesday.

Korey’s Joy Drive honors Korey Cochran, a Vancouver city employee who died from brain cancer in 2017.

The drive runs from Wednesday to Dec. 14 and is collecting new, unwrapped toys and new youth and adult winter coats, gloves, socks and hats, according to a press release.

Donations will be delivered to the Children’s Justice Center, the Children’s Center, Open House Ministries, Sea Mar Parent-Child Assistance Program, Share of Vancouver, Randall Children’s Hospital and YWCA Clark County.

Community members can donate at 11 drop-off sites around Vancouver.

For more information about where to drop off donations, what items to donate and how to host a collection site, visit cityofvancouver.us/parksrecculture/page/koreys-joy-drive.
