This weekend brought an end to the football season for most small colleges. But a handful of players from Clark County are looking ahead to the postseason.
Northwest Conference champion Linfield, which has backup quarterback Dawson Lieurance (Columbia River) and kicker Sonny Pitts (Union), has an NCAA D-III first-round game next Saturday against Pomona-Pitzer. Union grad Alexander Wood is a key member of the defensive backfield, having grabbed two interceptions for the Sagehens.
Former Skyview player Jovon Sewell is getting ready for an NCAA D-II first-round game with Ashland University in Ohio. Sewell will likely start at cornerback when the Eagles host Notre Dame College on Saturday.
Camas grad Kenny Wright starts at tight end for Colorado School of Mines, which will face Colorado State-Pueblo in an NCAA D-II first-round game on Saturday.
