Women’s Soccer

THE WEEK THAT WAS

The Penguins (14-3-1) are in the NWAC semifinals after a pair of tournament wins. Chloe Klappholz and Anna Neal each scored twice in a 7-0 quarterfinal win over Portland on Saturday. That came after Kelli Huskic scored twice in a 3-0 first-round win over Shoreline on Wednesday.

THE WEEK TO COME

Clark, the No. 2 seed in the West Region, faces East Region champion Columbia Basin in the semifinals on Friday at Starfire Stadium in Tukwila.

The winner will face Lower Columbia or Spokane in the -championship match Saturday.

Men’s Soccer

THE WEEK THAT WAS

The Penguins (6-11) saw their season end with a 3-1 loss to Whatcom in the first round of the NWAC playoffs Wednesday. Oeyvind Rydland put Clark ahead in the 14th minute, but Whatcom prevailed with three second-half goals.

Volleyball

THE WEEK THAT WAS

The Penguins (12-15, 6-10) season ended with a pair of 3-0 road losses to No.1-ranked Linn-Benton on Wednesday and Mt. Hood on Friday.

Cross Country

THE WEEK TO COME

Clark concludes its season at the NWAC Championships Nov. 12 at Chambers Bay golf course near Tacoma.
