Ferrill Johnson scampered for a 12-yard touchdown in the first overtime and the Raymond-South Bend Ravens kept the Kalama Chinooks out of the end zone on the next possession to win a thrilling 48-42 Distric 4 2B crossover game at Chinook Stadium.
Kalama saw its season end despite a herculean effort by sophomore quarterback Aiden Brown.
Brown rushed 32 times for 341 yards and five touchdowns on the evening for the Chinooks, who finished the season 4-6 in defense of their 2B state title.
The Ravens (8-2) qualified for the state playoffs which start next week.
Johnson started the game off with a bang for Raymond-South Bend, returning the opening kickoff 70 yards for a touchdown.
Both teams combined for 70 points and nearly 500 yards of total offense in the first half as Raymond-South Bend took a 36-34 lead into halftime.
