Latino Leadership NW, League of United Latin American Citizens and Korean Women’s Association, all from Clark County, were among 25 community-based organizations across Washington to receive $10,000 grants as part of the Community Health Plan of Washington’s “Advancing Equity Fund,” announced Tuesday.

The Advancing Equity Fund is in its third year, with $730,000 in grants given out to date.

The goal of the funds is to aid community-based organizations in providing support for marginalized communities and those experiencing barriers to their health and well-being, according to a press release from the Community Health Plan of Washington.

“This funding, born of a need to support already under-resourced organizations on the front lines of the COVID-19 response, allows us to continue supporting work focused on bridging gaps in health on a local level,” Leanne Berge, CEO of Community Health Plan of Washington, said in the release.
