A bridge tender on the Interstate 5 Bridge escaped injury early Sunday after he was shot at by two burglars attempting to break into a storage area on the bridge, according to the Vancouver Police Department.
The incident occurred at 3:45 a.m., according to Vancouver police Sgt. Spencer Harris. He said the bridge tender told police one of the two subjects he interrupted attempting to break into a storage area fired at him.
The bridge tender was not hit and the two subjects could not be found, according to Harris, but officers found shell casings at the scene.
