Clark County deputies investigate fatal shooting in Orchards; juvenile in custody

The Clark County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a fatal shooting in the Orchards area, according to a statement from the agency. A juvenile suspect is in custody in the case.

Deputies responded to reports of a shooting at Golden West Mobile Manor MHP, 6816 N.E. 131st Ave., No. 105, about 11 p.m. Monday night, according to the statement.

When deputies arrived, they found evidence of a gunshot victim. A short time later, a one-vehicle collision was reported several blocks from Golden West.  The driver of the vehicle was deceased from a gunshot wound, according to deputies.

During the course of the investigation a juvenile male was taken into custody.

The juvenile was booked into the Clark County Juvenile Detention facility and is facing allegations of second-degree murder, unlawful possession of a firearm and possession of an illegal firearm.

This is an ongoing investigation being conducted by the Clark County Major Crimes Unit.
