Three Clark County high school students have won $2,500 National Merit Scholarships.

Spencer K. Chang and Justin J. Xue of Mountain View High School and Sean M. Mintz of Union High School were recognized by the National Merit Scholarship Program for their combination of skills, accomplishments and potential for college success, based on academic record, test scores, contributions and leadership in school, community activities, and an essay.

Xue and Chang are interested in careers in computer science; Mintz’s probable career field is biomedical engineering.
