A 19-year-old Vancouver man is accused of shooting toward his former girlfriend and her family Sunday night in Vancouver’s Rose Village neighborhood.
Terrence S. Taylor appeared Tuesday in Clark County Superior Court on suspicion of aiming or discharging a firearm, felony domestic violence harassment, possession of a stolen firearm and unlawful use or possession of a pistol by a minor. His bail was set at $100,000, and he is scheduled to be arraigned April 8.
Vancouver police responded at 10:16 p.m. to the Parc Central apartments at 2600 T St. A woman told police she was returning home with her mother and two sisters when she saw her former boyfriend, identified as Taylor, approaching with three men and one woman. When he spotted her, Taylor shouted to his companions and pulled out a handgun. He then fired one round toward the ground, about 20 feet from the door of the woman’s apartment, where she and her family were trying to get inside, according to a probable cause affidavit.
The woman and her family members said they saw Taylor pull a black pistol from his waistband; her sister said she thought he was aiming at them, the affidavit says.
