RIDGEFIELD — March is Ridgefield Youth Arts Month, and schools in Ridgefield are celebrating youth involvement in the arts with a month full of art activities, classes, and events. Thanks to a partnership between the Ridgefield School District, the Ridgefield Art Association and the Ridgefield community, young people all across the area have the opportunity to get their creative juices flowing with a wide range of opportunities for creative exploration.
The Ridgefield School District Art Show will be 5 to 7 p.m. March 29 at the Ridgefield High School Performing Arts Center. Student artwork from all Ridgefield schools will be on display.
The Ridgefield “Art in Action” event will also showcase the talents of Ridgefield’s youth. The event will be held 6:30 p.m. March 30 at the Ridgefield High School Performing Arts Center.
On March 11, students also staged performances of “Johnny Appleseed,” an original play by the Missoula Children’s Theatre, at the Ridgefield High School Performing Arts Center.
