The Vancouver Police Department, in partnership with Crime Stoppers of Oregon, is seeking the public’s help to solve the August fatal shooting of a man in the Bagley Downs neighborhood.

Police responded at about 11:45 p.m. Aug. 29 for a call of suspicious circumstances in the 3500 block of Northeast 50th Court. Officers found Tyler Harris, 28, of Vancouver dead. The Clark County Medical Examiner’s Office said Harris died from a gunshot wound to the head and ruled his death a homicide.

Surveillance video from the night of the shooting shows two women and one man knock on Harris’ door, according to a Tuesday press release. Moments later, Harris is shot, and the three people run away.

Police described one woman as wearing dark-colored leggings with a red and white Fila logo on the side. They said the other woman was wearing dark-colored leggings that stop just below the knee, a dark-colored hoodie with white print on the front that appears to say Washington State and has a Cougar logo on it, and black shoes with white soles. The man was wearing Nike shoes that are white and black on the front and orange and yellow on the back.

Vancouver police’s Major Crimes Team is continuing to investigate and has not made any arrests, the news release states.

Crime Stoppers of Oregon offers up to $2,500 for information that leads to an arrest in any unsolved felony crime.
