Mallory Vancleave hit a game-tying home run in the seventh inning then singled home the winning run in the ninth as Ridgefield softball beat Prairie 3-2 on Tuesday.
Vancleave drove in McKenzie Bowling with one out in the ninth, lifting the Spudders to 4-0 on the season.
The sophomore shortstop forced extra innings when she lined a solo home run to center with one out in the seventh.
That supported a strong outing by Ridgefield pitcher Elizabeth Peery. She allowed five hits over nine innings, struck out 11 and walked three.
Prairie (2-2) took a 2-0 lead on Serena Hewes’ single in the third inning.

- Madison Hubbard, Camas girls track and field, won the 100 meters and 200 meters, both in personal-best times, in a dual meet with Skyview.
- Tyler Vanderwood, Camas boys track and field, won the 110 meter hurdles and the 300 hurdles in a dual meet with Skyview.
- Alexander Harris, Columbia River boys soccer, had two goals and two assists in a 5-0 win over Woodland.
- Uriel Meza-Gonzalez and David Moore, Seton Catholic boys soccer, each had a goal and an assist in a 4-1 win over La Center.
- Ilia Moscovciuc, Skyview boys soccer, scored the winning goal in the second half of a 2-1 win over Mountain View.
- Musa Jatta, Hockinson boys soccer, had a goal and an assist in a 3-0 win over Hudson’s Bay.
- Logann Dukes, Columbia River girls track and field, won the 100 meters and 200 in a meet against Washougal.
