Letter: Democrats manufacture history

The word “peacefully” is not difficult to look up in the dictionary, except for Democrats. There is a U.S. House of Representatives hearing to examine what President Donald Trump meant? Over 700 United States residents participated in the riot at the Capitol on Jan. 6, 2021, and the Democrats in the U.S. House are trying to change the statement of Trump to march peacefully, to trespassing.

The Democrats’ attempt to directly link Trump to the Russians during the 2016 election proved to be wrong. Today the Democrats and the media are attempting to link Trump to President Putin by taking out of context a positive word or phrase here and there that he said, and say I told you so, Trump is a supporter of Putin!

This attempt to link Trump to Putin is manufacturing history to their liking, and they will succeed with a small group of poorly informed or immoral citizens. Omitting facts is telling half-truths, which then becomes lying.

This is a losing approach for the Democrats and is nothing but genuine aggravation to a reasonable citizen, and I believe that 60 percent of citizens are reasonable.
