Nominations open for philanthropy awards

The Community Foundation for Southwest Washington has opened public nominations for its Philanthropist of the Year and Community Champion Awards.

The Philanthropist of the Year Award recognizes individuals, couples, families or foundations that serve as exemplars of generosity in Southwest Washington through their outstanding charitable support, leadership and service.

The Community Champion Award celebrates individuals or organizations who apply their time and talents to Southwest Washington’s most pressing issues to improve the quality of life for the region’s residents.

The deadline for submissions is 5 p.m. April 7. More information and an online nomination form are available at cfsww.org/awards. The Community Foundation welcomes all applicants and aims to reflect and honor the many ways people care for communities in Southwest Washington

These awards are part of the Southwest Washington Philanthropy Awards lineup, which is presented during the Community Foundation for Southwest Washington’s annual celebration held from noon to 1:30 p.m. June 7 at the Hilton Vancouver Washington. Tickets will be available for purchase online beginning April 1 at cfsww.org.
