Vancouver’s Tina Frimpong Ellertson is among 12 inductees in the Pac-12 Hall of Honor Class of 2022.

The Hudson’s Bay High graduate remains the all-time leading scorer in Washington women’s soccer. She was the Pac-10 Player of the Year in 2003 and 2004 and led Washington to its first Elite Eight appearance.

Frimpong Ellertson went on to play five years with the United States national team, including the 2007 World Cup. She concluded her 11-year professional playing career with the Portland Thorns in 2013.

Frimpong Ellertson then coached at King’s Way, where her daughter Mackenzie Frimpong Ellertson earned all-state honors three times and led the Knights to the 2018 state title match. She now plays for Washington State.

Frimong Ellertson is now an assistant coach for Washington, which reached the Sweet 16 in her first season.

Among other inductees are Drew Bledsoe (Washington State), Steven Jackson (Oregon State), Tom Chambers (Utah), Jackie Joyner-Kersee (UCLA), Tanya Hughes (Arizona), Tony Azevedo (Stanford), Curley Culp (Arizona State), Layshia Clarendon (California), John Naber (USC), Jenny Simpson (Colorado) and English Gardner (Oregon).

The 2022 Class will be inducted Friday in Las Vegas.
