Former Camas football coach Jon Eagle is returning to the high school ranks after one season at Portland State.

Eagle has been named the new head coach at West Linn High School in Oregon, the school said Wednesday.

At Camas, Eagle won state championships in 2016 and 2019. He had a 127-22 record in 13 seasons with the Papermakers.

He spent last season as quarterbacks coach at Portland State, which went 5-6 overall and finished tied for seventh in the Big Sky Conference at 4-4.

Eagle joins a West Linn program that went 77-18 in eight seasons under Chris Miller, who stepped down in February. The Lions won a state championship in 2016.
