Trees to be removed from Heritage Trail

Clark County Public Works will work with a tree service contractor to remove hazardous trees along the Lacamas Heritage Trail. The trees to be removed are near the 2 Creeks Camas condominiums southeast of the Heritage Trail trailhead.

The trees were slated for removal after being evaluated by a certified arborist who determined the trees present a hazard to structures on adjacent properties. A concerned neighbor first reported the concern to the city of Camas in 2021.

Removal of the trees begins no later than May 1 and will be complete by May 25.

While the work in ongoing, the northern portion of the trail and north trailhead off Northeast Goodwin Road will be closed from 7:30 a.m. to 5 p.m., Monday through Friday. Signs will be posted to notify the public of the closure. Adjacent property owners will be notified when work dates have been confirmed.
