The Vancouver Police Department is requesting the public’s help with an investigation into a potential kidnapping Monday evening in east Vancouver.

Several callers reported at about 6:45 p.m. that a kidnapping had occurred at the intersection of Southeast Mill Plain Boulevard and 164th Avenue, the police department said in a news release.

The potential victim was a female described as having a shorter stature with dark-colored hair and wearing a puff jacket, police said.

The suspect was described as a shorter white or Hispanic man, 20 to 30 years old and wearing a white shirt. His vehicle was described as a newer model four-door, full-size truck that was maybe gray in color, according to the police department.

Police searched the area but could not locate either person.

Anyone who may have witnessed or has video of the incident should call 311.
