CASCADE PARK WEST — Frieda Moisant, a resident of The Hampton and Ashley Inn in Vancouver, celebrated her 105th birthday alongside family, friends and caregivers.

She was born June 14, 1917, on a small farm in Idaho where her family grew beans, peas and potatoes. Following World War I and the Great Depression, her family moved to Vancouver, where she has resided ever since. A talented typist, she worked at the Vancouver Barracks writing military written orders.

Moisant proudly raised three sons and two daughters. She loves mystery cat novels written by Lillian Jackson Braun. Her advice? “Be kind to everyone and eat your veggies!”
