School bells are ringing for the last time this year in local school districts. At Hazel Dell Elementary School, Thursday was the last day of classes, and fifth-graders followed the tradition of ringing the school’s old-fashioned bell one last time before moving on to middle school. Hazel Dell pupils have rung the large bell every year for decades. Students in Clark County’s largest district, Evergreen Public Schools, adjourn for the final time Friday, as do those in Camas. Vacation has already begun in Battle Ground Public Schools.
