Zac Jones survived a double bogey on the final hole to win the Royal Oaks Invitational by one stroke on Sunday.

Jones shot 5-under for the tournament, which was shortened to 36 holes after heavy rain on Friday left the course at Royal Oaks Country Club unplayable.

Jones, who just finished his freshman season with the BYU golf team, led by three strokes when he teed off at the par-four 18th hole Sunday.

With the double-bogey, Jones edged Calvin Green of Emerald Valley Golf Club in Creswell, Ore.

Green made a par on the final hole to finish at 4-under. That was two strokes ahead of third-place Austin Spicer.

Jones shot a 5-under 67 in the first round Saturday to lead Green by one shot. He was 8-under after nine holes Sunday, which included an eagle on the par-five No. 6 hole for the second straight day.

Royal Oaks member Jake O’Neal shot 1-under to finish tied for fourth in the annual event, which attracts top amateur golfers from around the West.
