Sexton leads way at Washougal MX National

He beats out Tomac in 450cc class in tight battle.

Chase Sexton led all 16 laps of the second moto to beat Eli Tomac in the 450cc class at the Motocross Washougal MX Championship on Saturday at Washougal MX Park.

After Tomac beat Sexton in the first moto — leading 11 of 16 laps — Sexton took control in the second moto to claim the overall victory.

Jason Anderson was third.

In the 250cc class, Jett Lawrence didn’t win either moto, but by finishing second in both took the overall title over Justin Cooper, who won the second moto but was fourth in the first.

Hunter Lawrence, Jett’s brother, placed third, winning the first moto but taking fourth in the second.
