The Clark County Medical Examiner’s Office has identified the two Portland teenagers fatally shot early Sunday morning at a Vancouver house party.

Alexander Castagnoli, 19, died from a gunshot wound to his torso, and Amadou Keita, 18, died from multiple gunshot wounds, according to the medical examiner’s office. Both were shot by another person, and their deaths were ruled homicides. The ruling does not make any judgments about criminal culpability.

The party began at about 10 p.m. Saturday at a house in the 3600 block of East 11th Street, with 15 to 20 invited guests, according to a Tuesday update from the Vancouver Police Department. The party grew to more than 70 people by midnight.

At about 1:20 a.m., some partygoers began arguing before four males were shot, each suffering multiple gunshot wounds, the police department said.

When police responded, one person was pronounced dead, and two others were taken to an area hospital. One of the victims died at the hospital, and a fourth person arrived at the hospital with gunshot wounds, according to police.

A 17-year-old and a 19-year-old from Portland remain hospitalized in stable condition as of Tuesday afternoon. Police have not identified the two wounded victims.

Witnesses have provided limited suspect information to police. Anyone with information about the shooting is asked to contact Cpl. Neil Martin at 360-487-7423 or the department’s tip line at 360-487-7399.

Vancouver police’s Major Crimes Unit and the Safe Streets Task Force is investigating.

A GoFundMe is raising money for Castagnoli’s funeral costs and can be found here.
