The Skamania County Sheriff’s Office is investigating two armed robberies of cannabis shops that occurred in May and June in Carson and Stevenson, respectively.

Shortly after 11 p.m. May 26, two males, wearing dark clothing and masks, entered Forbidden Cannabis Club at 1171 Wind River Highway in Carson. One of the suspects ordered the clerk at gunpoint, with what appeared to be a black semi-automatic handgun, to empty the cash register and safe. The robbers left on foot in an unknown direction, the sheriff’s office said in a news release. They were not located.

The armed suspect was described as being heavy set and wearing a blue jacket, gray hoodie, black gloves, black mask, jeans and dark-colored boots. The other suspect was described as having a slight build and wearing a two-tone blue jacket, blue shorts over blue sweats, a gray hoodie and a mask, the news release states.

Then, at about 11:30 p.m. June 26, a man wearing dark clothing and a mask entered High 5 Cannabis, 25 Second St., in Stevenson. The suspect, armed with a semi-automatic handgun, ordered the clerk to empty the cash register and safe. He fled in an unknown direction, according to the sheriff’s office.

He was described as having light skin and a medium build. He wore a black hoodie, black mask, black gloves and carried a dark-colored backpack, the news release says.

Anyone with information about the robberies should contact Detective Jeremy Shultz at 509-427-9490.
