Two people were injured in a two-vehicle crash Thursday night on state Highway 503, according to the Washington State Patrol.

The crash was reported shortly after 8 p.m. near Northeast Rock Creek Road, north of Battle Ground.

A 2012 Ford Escape was traveling west on Rock Creek Road, approaching Highway 503, and failed to stop at the stop sign entering the highway. A 2002 International 4700E truck traveling north on the highway struck the Ford, according to a State Patrol crash memo.

The driver of the Ford, identified as Hannah L. Williams, 22, of Vancouver, and a passenger, identified as Samuel J. Stremel, 23, of Camas, were both injured and taken to PeaceHealth Southwest Medical Center in Vancouver.

Neither the driver nor passenger in the truck, identified as Nathan P. Cochran, 30, of Vancouver and Chance C. Starr, 27, of Portland, respectively, were injured.

Troopers said all were wearing seat belts. The crash remains under investigation.
