SALMON CREEK — Once again Skyview High School’s animal-loving students came through with food, beds, clothes and toys for animals at the Humane Society for Southwest Washington. Transitional skills teacher Raquel Cleys’ students decorated donation boxes, produced posters and made announcements to solicit participation.

Based on a national Santa Paws movement to help animals during the holiday season, the Skyview students call their annual drive “Operation Storm Paws,” with a play on Skyview’s nickname, Storm, and mascot, Stormie. Skyview’s Key Club members partnered with Cleys’ students. The donated items were delivered to the animal shelter on Dec. 18.
