The Clark County auditor, assessor and treasurer announced Friday they are closing the joint lobby to walk-in customers through the end of the month, citing the large increase in COVID-19 cases due to the omicron variant.

In a joint statement, the three elected officials said, “The safety of our customers and our staff is our top priority.”

They will reassess whether to reopen the joint lobby to walk-in customers at the end of January, according to a county news release.

The joint lobby, on the second floor of the Public Service Center, 1300 Franklin St. in downtown Vancouver, is the customer service center for all three offices. It had been open to walk-in customers on Mondays and Wednesdays.
